I have always dreamed of visiting egypt with its many archaeological sites. On the other hand, I was afraid to go to this country following the events of the Arab Spring.
Usually I'm a young woman who sometimes travels alone/backpack and I'm not afraid of adventure. On the other hand, for this trip I preferred to have a certain security and it is by falling on the agency Terra Trips that I went there.
September 2018 : After discussing several times by email with Mr. Amro (the owner of the agency Terra Trips). Then, I decide to do a 13-day course.
(9 days in Egypt and 4 days in Jordan). In addition, Mr. Amro answers all my questions. For my part, I do my research on the internet to know approximately the costs for the same services offered by Mr. Amro.
Indeed, the trip will cost me about 4000 euro which is a bit expensive, but according to my research the costs are reasonable quality/price. Therefore, I decided to make a bank transfer to Mr. Amro who takes care of managing all the reservations. The second part of the payment will be in Euro cash and given on arrival on Egyptian soil.
October 2018 : As soon as I get off the plane, a man greets me with a small poster Terra Trips. In 5 mins. we will have gone through the formalities for entering the country (customs, visas). Then I join Mr. Amro who will take me to my hotel.
During the transport to the hotel, Amro tells me how important it is for him to treat me like a sister, a princess so that I live one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.
He was right because throughout my trip, this concern was paramount for him. Amro made one call a day to make sure everything was in order and explain to me the next activities to come.
The guides spoke good French, were dynamic and always enjoyed explaining Egypt to me according to their perceptions. I always felt safe and I had great experiences that were out of the ordinary tourist.
Experience : I lived an enriching experience and made great discoveries. I visited the main archaeological sites without feeling “overloaded” by the schedule.
I had some moments of rest, but also adventures during my travel in Egypt and Jordan such as the discovery of the white and black deserts of Egypt and Wadi Rum of Jordan.
However, I recommend this agency not only to those who want a supervised and safe environment. But also for those who want to get off the beaten track.
In fact, the Terra Trips agency is ideal for single women, couples or families with young children.
Mr. Amro as well as the guides and drivers have always made sure that everything goes as well as possible for me. Indeed, a van breakdown was quickly resolved by obtaining another car for the return to the hotel.
The positives:

– A French language approach
– A personalized circuit
– All meals included (except 1 meal in Jordan)
– A private driver
– Privileged status and security (no waiting to enter archaeological sites)
The negatives:
– I have nothing negative to say. According to the schedule of my trip, I crossed the Sinai and the Suez Canal by car to get to Nuweiba to take a boat and then go to Jordan.
In fact, this part of Egypt is still considered a risky area for tourists.
However, for my part, the trip went very well (13h drive in total). Some people may prefer air transport to Jordan. Which is always possible to do when planning your trip.
