White Desert Egypt

Pick up at 7:00 a.m. by normal car from your hotel/home in Cairo, to drive to Baharia Oasis (370 Km) away. On arrival around noon, change your car to a 4×4.

First departure to the deserts (170 Km), we start with the Black Deserts and the impressive built mountain: The desert is covered with dark conical masses, ancient volcanic hills, once submerged and since eroded by time. Erosion has left shards of basalt and iron pyrite on the ground, the colors of which have given this desert its name.

Then free walk to the deserts, on your return a Bedouin tea break awaits you. Then lunch break (cheeses, beans, tuna, crisps, etc…), then departure to join the marvelous White Deserts, supposed to be among the most beautiful on our planet. First we start with the New White Desert: a true lunar setting of thousands of immaculate white mounds, floating in a sea of sand, then continue through the Old white desert: these white mounds sculpted by the winds, sand and erosion, display shapes reminiscent of mushrooms, animals and different shapes according to the imagination, personal discovery on foot of deserts outside of time.

Finally copious hot dinner and night in bivouac at the White Desert, or the Black Desert according to the permission of the army.

After breakfast, a personal admiration of deserts, then departure for a stop at the crystal mountain: The arch-shaped rock is streaked with quartz veins which, in places, then departure for a visit to a small isolated oasis of 160 inhabitants with small green plots, at the foot of the rocky mountains. You will experience contact with the local population of the oasis, possibility of swimming in a hot spring, as well as swimming in the middle of the desert and sand, return by normal car to Cairo, on arrival at Cairo, accompaniment to your hotel/home.
